Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the Atalanta midfielder Ederson Dos Santos and they will face competition from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
A report from Spanish publication Marca claims that the two clubs are keen on the Brazilian midfielder and it remains to be seen whether they can secure an agreement with the Italian outfit. The midfielder is valued at €30 million and the two clubs should have the financial resources to afford him.
Ederson has proven himself to be a reliable performer in the Italian league and he has the physical and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League as well as the Spanish League. The report states that Tottenham have him ‘on their radar’ and they are prepared to battle it out with Atletico Madrid for his signature.

It is no secret that Tottenham need to bring in a quality central midfielder at the end of the season. The 24-year-old will add creativity, control and defensive cover to the side. Ederson has the attributes to develop into a complete midfielder and he could be a key player for Tottenham in the coming seasons. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from the north London club and they will have to replace him adequately. The Brazilian midfielder could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid need more quality and depth in the side as well. Diego Simone needs a midfield controller and the 24-year-old Brazilian certainly fits the profile. It will be interesting to see where the player ends up. Both clubs might be able to provide him with Champions League football next season and an interesting transfer battle is on the cards.
