Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo at the end of the season.
A report from BILD via Sport Witness claims that the 25-year-old has attracted the attention of the North London club with his performances this season. He has picked up seven goals and four assists in all competitions so far and he has a €60 million release clause in his contract.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to pay up for him in the summer. Olmo is versatile enough to operate as the central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for the north London club, and his versatility will be an added bonus.
Tottenham have been overly reliant on James Maddison for creativity and goals from the central areas in the midfield. Olmo will add more depth to the position and his arrival will allow Ange Postecoglou to rotate his squad more often.
The 25-year-old has the technical attributes to do well in the Premier League and he could be an important first team player for Tottenham. However, the reported asking price could be a problem.

Tottenham will not want to pay €60 million (£52m) for the player and they will be hoping to sign him for a more reasonable price. It will be interesting to see if the German club decide to lower their asking price for him.
Olmo will certainly be attracted to the idea of competing in the Premier League at this stage of his career. It would be a major step up for him and he would get to test himself at a higher level.
Tottenham are not the only club keen on the player and they will face competition from other English clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea.
