Tottenham showing ‘early interest’ in attacker with 13 goals and four assists this season

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on improving their attacking options with the signing of Albert Gudmundsson at the end of the season.

A report from the Mirror claims that Tottenham are now showing ‘early interest’ in signing the Genoa attacker and it remains to be seen whether they follow up on their interest with a concrete proposal to sign the player.

The 26-year-old striker can operate in the wide areas as well and he could prove to be the ideal acquisition for Tottenham in the final third. The North London outfit needs more quality and depth in their front three.

Gudmundsson has 13 goals and four assists to his name this season and he could prove to be a quality addition to the Tottenham attack. The North London outfit have been overly dependent on Son Heung-min and Richarlison for goals this season. They need more players who can chip in with goals consistently.

Tottenham need a versatile forward like Albert Gudmundsson

Tottenham are pushing for Champions League qualification and they will need a deeper squad to do well across multiple competitions next season. Signing another versatile attacker could prove to be a wise decision for them. It will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement with the Italian club at the end of the season.

Tottenham have recently dealt with Genoa when they signed Radu Dragusin from them them. It will be interesting to see if they can use that relationship and get a deal done for the Icelandic attacker as well.

It is fair to assume that Dragusin could also play an important role in convincing the 26-year-old attacker to reunite with him at the north London club.
