Tottenham ‘very interested’ in €30m La Liga ace, leading the chase for attacker

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Real Mallorca attacker Lee Kang-in.

The 22-year-old South Korean has been a key player for the Spanish club this season and he is thought to be a target for Atletico Madrid as well.

However, a report from Mundo Deportivo via SportWitness claims that Tottenham are currently leading the chase to sign the South Korean international and they are ‘very interested’ in getting a deal done.

The 22-year-old has chipped in with five goals and five assists across all competitions this season, and he could prove to be a useful addition to the Tottenham attack.

Kang-in is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three, and he will add flair and goals to the Tottenham attack.

The 22-year-old is quite young and he is likely to improve with coaching and experience. Playing against top-class defenders in the Premier League will only accelerate his development and help him fulfil his potential.

Furthermore, the opportunity to unite with his compatriot Son Heung-Min at the North London club will be a tempting proposition for the player.

It remains to be seen whether Kang-in is prepared to turn down a move to Atletico Madrid in order to join the Premier League club.

Tottenham have been quite underwhelming in the attack this season and Harry Kane is the only reliable forward at the club. The England international will certainly need more support from his teammates next season and the 22-year-old South Korean could prove to b a quality option.

The attacker has a €30 million release clause in his contract and Tottenham certainly have the finances to pay up for him.
