Tottenham Hotspur could be edging closer to parting ways with Richarlison this summer, as doubts over his future at the club continue to grow.
The Brazilian forward’s influence in the squad has gradually waned, prompting increasing calls for Spurs to cut ties with their No. 9.
Although Richarlison remains under contract until 2027, his long-term prospects in North London appear uncertain.
Flamengo had previously shown interest in securing his services, whether on loan or in a permanent deal worth £16 million.
Former Tottenham scout Bryan King has suggested that the North London club should take any opportunity to offload the 27-year-old.
King believes Richarlison has not lived up to expectations and that Spurs should move him on if a suitable offer arises.
The pundit also cast doubt on the possibility of an English club matching Tottenham’s valuation, making a move abroad seem like the most realistic outcome for both the player and the club.
Speaking to Tottenham News, King said:
“I’ve said for the past 18 months that Richarlison needs to be moved on.
“If Tottenham have any chance to get rid of him, they need to get rid of him because he hasn’t been producing on the pitch. I can’t see anybody in England paying £32million for Richarlison. No chance.
“He needs to go abroad if Tottenham are going to get any kind of decent fee, as far as I’m concerned. No club in England is going to pay that kind of money after his performances over the last couple of years.”

Richarlison joined Spurs in the summer of 2022 in a high-profile £50 million transfer from Everton, arriving with great expectations.
While he showed glimpses of his potential, injuries and inconsistent performances disrupted his first season. Ultimately, he ended the 2022–23 campaign with just a single Premier League goal to his name.
With Harry Kane’s departure ahead of the last season, Richarlison was expected to step up as Tottenham’s main striker.
However, he endured a difficult start, failing to make an immediate impact before being sidelined with a long-term injury.
A brief resurgence mid-season saw him net nine goals in eight league appearances, but injuries once again hindered his progress.
Having been out for more than six months and making only 14 appearances across all competitions this season, Tottenham face a key decision regarding his future.
With two years left on his contract, this summer could be the ideal time to cash in before his market value depreciates further.
