With a total of 116 appearances already under his belt for the Spanish club, he has amassed 18 goals and 21 assists at a remarkably young age.
Despite his promising potential, Williams’s current contract includes a release clause of £42.8 million, making him an enticing prospect for potential suitors.
Wenham backs Spurs to sign Williams
And Wenham believes, for the price he is available for, signing him should be a no-brainier decision for Spurs.
Wenham emphasised Williams’s immense talent, highlighting his regular inclusion in the Spanish national team and his anticipated participation in the upcoming Euros this summer.
He argued that in the current market, where similar players are valued at over £60 million, signing Williams for just over £40 million represents excellent value for Tottenham.

“His £42.8million buyout clause is incredibly affordable for a team of Tottenham’s financial standing,”
“Williams is a player with immense talent, huge potential and somebody who is starting for Spain and will be looking to go to the Euros this summer.
“In this current market we’re talking about a £60million-plus player, and he is available for just over £40million, so this deal is a no-brainer for me.”
