Tottenham have been told they can sign Club America defender Sebastian Caceres in the January window for just $10m (£7.8m).
Mexican transfer expert, Fernando Esquivel, recently revealed Tottenham’s formal offer for Caceres, signaling active negotiations between the involved parties.
Esquivel highlighted that Caceres and his representatives are keen on the move.
Journalist Jonatan Pena added to the discourse, affirming that Club America is standing firm on their asking price of $10 million (£7.8 million) but is open to parting ways with the player in January.
He claims that a figure close to that can ensure a ‘happy ending’ for all parties.
He shared on X (translated below):
“America does well to stay at 10 million dollars at least for Sebas Caceres”
“Platform. Already. This must have a happy ending.”

Caceres has emerged as one of the standout central defenders in the league, playing a pivotal role in Club America’s recent Liga MX triumph, contributing significantly to his team’s success.
For Tottenham, the 24-year-old represents an economical alternative compared to other defensive targets like Todibo and Inacio.
At a modest £7.8 million, his acquisition could prove to be a lucrative deal, offering immediate reinforcement for the team while also holding promise as a valuable long-term investment.
