Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign a quality goalkeeper this summer and they have been linked with a move for the Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
The 27-year-old has been a key player for Brentford and he has proven his quality in the Premier League with them. There is no doubt that the Spaniard would be a quality acquisition for Tottenham but the two clubs have not been able to agree on a fee so far.
It is understandable that Tottenham want to sign him for a more reasonable price, and they are not prepared to pay the asking price for the Spaniard.
According to Paul O Keefe, Tottenham are set to ‘pull out’ of the race to sign the 27-year-old and they are currently exploring other alternatives.
Apparently, Guglielmo Vicario is ‘under consideration’ and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham decide to make a move for him.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper has had a fine season with Empoli and he has kept 7 clean sheets in the Italian league. He has the quality to thrive in the Premier League as well and he could prove to be a quality long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris.
The 36-year-old Frenchman was quite error-prone this past season, and he will need to be replaced as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The Empoli goalkeeper is likely to be cheaper than Raya and it remains to be seen whether the north London giants decide to get a deal done.
