Tottenham to compete with three PL clubs for attacker who will cost over £53 million

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on signing Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of the season.

A report from Football London claims that Tottenham will look to sign him in the summer and they will have to pay more than £53 million for the winger. Wolves want to recoup more than they received for Matheus Nunes and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to pay up.

They are not the only Premier League club keen on signing the Portuguese winger and they will face competition from Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United.

Tottenham need more quality and depth in the wide areas and the 24-year-old should prove to be a quality acquisition.

Neto has had an impressive campaign with Wolves this season, and he will look to take the next step in his development and join a big club capable of winning trophies. Tottenham are well placed to secure Champions League qualification for the next season and he will be tempted to join them if there is a concrete proposal on the table.

However, the reported asking price could prove to be prohibitive and it remains to be seen how the situation develops. Neto is certainly one of the best wingers in the league and it is hardly a surprise that Wolves are demanding a premium for him.

The 24 year old has three goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season and he’s likely to improve with experience and coaching. The winger is yet to reach his peak and he could develop into a top class player with the right guidance.
