Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
According to a report from Bild (h/t Fichajes), Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the 26-year-old German international midfielder.
Brandt has been quite impressive for Dortmund this season and he has 9 goals and 5 assists to his name across all competitions.
The Germany international is versatile enough to play as the central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. His versatility would be an added bonus for the two clubs if they manage to secure his services.
Mikel Arteta needs to add more depth to his attack and Brandt is someone who could be an alternative to Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka or Gabriel Martinelli. His ability to perform at a high level in multiple roles could make him a valuable player for Arsenal in the coming seasons.
Meanwhile, Tottenham need to add depth to their attack as well. Players like Son Heung-Min and Richarlison have not been at their best this season and star striker Harry Kane has not had ample service from his teammates. The 26-year-old Bundesliga star could certainly address that problem.
Brandt would add creativity, flair, vision and goals to the Spurs side. The Londoners have missed goals and creativity from the midfield this season and the German would add just that.
Conte needs a deeper squad to compete with the top clubs and signings like Brandt will certainly help Tottenham improve.
