Tottenham have been grappling with an ongoing injury crisis at the club. Over 20 players from Ange Postecoglou’s squad have been affected by injuries this season, posing significant challenges for the team.
The latest to fall prey has been Spurs’ right-back Pedro Porro, who had remained injury-free throughout the season until last week.
The Spanish international was absent from the club’s open training session leading up to the side’s league fixture against Wolves.
During a press conference on Friday, manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Porro had been sidelined due to a muscle injury.
The full-back apparently sustained a strain during training and is expected to be out for a couple of weeks.
The 24-year-old provided an optimistic update on his injury via his official X account, showcasing his resilient mentality to return.
He posted: “Small bump in the road, but same mentality as always. Back soon.”

The former Sporting man has been a vital creative force for Tottenham, making significant contributions with eight assists in the Premier League this season.
And Spurs sorely missed their full-back duo Porro and Udogie against Wolves, as they suffered a disappointing 2-1 home defeat.
