It is evident that Spurs will not want to lose one of their all-time greats on a bargain and they are likely to demand a premium from the German club regardless of his contract situation.

According to a report from Evening Standard, Harry Kane has not ruled out signing a new contract with Tottenham and he could look to stay at the club if a decision is not reached soon.
Apparently, Kane does not want to leave Tottenham if he starts the season with them. The striker believes that it would be unfair to leave the club once the season has started.
Tottenham play their opening Premier League game against Brentford on 13 August and therefore the striker wants his future sorted before that. Therefore, Bayern Munich will have to agree on a deal by 12th August if they want to sign him.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can hold on to him until then and convince him to sign an extension in the coming weeks. The 30-year-old scored 32 goals across all competitions last season and keeping him at the club would be a major boost for Tottenham.
