Bayern Munich are keen on signing the Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is an admirer of the 29-year-old England international and he is pushing the German club to sign the Tottenham striker.
Kane has entered the final year of his contract and he has not signed an extension with the London club yet.
Tuchel believes that the deal is possible and he has held internal talks with Bayern Munich and urged the club hierarchy to make the deal happen.
Apparently, the German manager wanted to sign Kane during his time at Chelsea as well, but he knew that the 29-year-old would not move to Stamford Bridge.
“I can guarantee to you that Bayern are still working on this one, but from Tottenham the message has been that this is not enough to sign Harry Kane. Thomas Tuchel is really pushing. Tuchel already wanted Harry Kane at Chelsea, he knew it was impossible, but he was one of the big names he mentioned for the Chelsea project. Now he feels this deal could happen, he feels Kane is open to the move to Bayern and that’s why Tuchel is pushing and pushing and pushing internally at Bayern to make this deal happen,” Romano said.
It remains to be seen whether Bayern can secure an agreement with Tottenham in the coming weeks. The 29-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world, and he could transform them in the final third.
The German outfit narrowly won the league title last year and they were quite disappointing in the European competition. They need to add more quality to their squad in order to do well in the Champions League next season and someone like Kane could make a big difference.
Apart from his goalscoring ability, the 29-year-old is an outstanding footballer who will add playmaking abilities to the side as well. The England international is excellent with his linkup play and passing. He will help bring other attackers into the game as well.
The German club are yet to replace Robert Lewandowski properly and Kane could be the ideal alternative.
