Tottenham set to sign defensive prodigy who was at Hotspur Way this week

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Ipswich Town defender Calum Logan.

The 16-year-old England youth defender is highly rated around the country and the North London giants have reportedly agreed on a deal to sign him.

The 16-year-old is now expected to join the club Academy for the 2023-24 season. A report from Football Insider claims that the talented young defender visited the Hotspur Way headquarters earlier this week to sign a scholarship deal with the club.

The 16-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him and thought am will be hoping to help him develop into an important first-team player in the coming years.

Tottenham do not have the finances to sign elite players and compete with the European heavyweights. They will have to snap up the best young talents on a bargain and develop them into established stars.

Logan could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for the North London club and the 16-year-old will be hoping to continue his development with regular football at the youth level. If he manages to fulfil his potential, he could save millions in the transfer market for Spurs.

Spurs have shown a willingness to invest in talented young players recently and they have also finalized the deal for the Manchester City teenager Herbie James who has signed a pre-contract agreement with the club.

Tottenham already have an impressive pool of young talent at the club and it seems like Logan will be another addition to that.
