Tottenham set to initiate move to sign 28-year-old World Cup finalist on a bargain

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the French international midfielder Adrien Rabiot from Juventus.

The 28-year-old midfielder will be a free agent in the summer and Tottenham are hoping to secure his services at the end of the season.

A report from Corriere Dello Sport (h/t SportWitness) claims that Tottenham are planning an early move to sign the midfielder on a bargain. Signing a player of his quality on a free transfer would be a major coup.

Rabiot will add composure, control and defensive cover to the Tottenham midfield. He could prove to be an upgrade on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who has been linked with an exit.

Juventus have been linked with a move for the Tottenham midfielder and it will be interesting to see if the two clubs can work out a deal that benefits them both.

Rabiot has been linked with the move to the Premier League in the past as well, and it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman can finally secure a move to England. There is no doubt that he has the physicality and technical attributes to thrive in the Premier League and he would be a key player for Tottenham.

The North London club need more quality and experience in order to challenge for major trophies. Rabiot has proven himself for club and country. He was a key player for France when they reached the World Cup finals in 2022.

The midfielder has proven himself in Italy and France. He could look to make his mark in English football now. It remains to be seen whether the parties can secure an agreement soon.
