Tottenham ‘set their sights’ on €30 million-rated Arsenal target ahead of January window

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Genoa defender Radu Dragusin.

The 21-year-old has established himself as a key player for the Italian club and his performances have caught the attention of several clubs.

A report from Calciomercato. It claims that Tottenham have ‘set their sights’ on the talented young defender and he is likely to cost around €30 million.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to make a move for him during the January transfer window. It is no secret that Tottenham will have to bring in defensive reinforcements, especially with players like Micky van de Ven sidelined with injuries.

Spurs were already lacking in depth in the defensive unit and the injury blow to the Dutchman has only worsened things for them. Signing a central defender should be a top priority for the North London club and Dragusin would be a quality long-term investment.

The 21-year-old is quite young and he is highly talented. He has all the attributes to develop into a top-class Premier League defender and he could easily justify the €30 million investment.

Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done and it remains to be seen whether they can of the competition from other european clubs. Clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United are also keeping tabs on the defender.

The Gunners should look to add more quality to the defensive unit and Dragusin could be the ideal long-term partner for William Saliba at the back. As far as Newcastle are concerned, they need to find a reliable partner for Sven Botman and the 21-year-old certainly fits the profile.

All three clubs would be exciting destinations for the young defender and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
