Tottenham Hotspur are now expected to sign James Wilson from Hearts this month.

The player is expected to join on loan with an option to buy. The 18-year-old has also been linked to Arsenal, but a Sky Sports report claims that “it looks likely” Tottenham will be his next destination.

James Wilson could be a star in future

Wilson is a talented player with a bright future, and he could develop into an important player for Tottenham with the right guidance. He is expected to join up with the youth team at the North London club for now.

Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that the player will undergo his medical with the London club.

He has already been handed an opportunity to showcase his qualities with the Hearts senior team this season. The Scottish outfit has done quite well this season and is the favourite to win the league title.

It seems that Wilson will now leave them before they can lift the coveted trophy.

Arsenal miss out on Wilson

The opportunity to move to a Premier League club will be quite exciting for the youngster. It would be a huge step up in his career, and he will look to prove himself at the highest level. Meanwhile, Arsenal will be thoroughly disappointed to have missed out on the player, especially to a direct rival. They were looking to offer a trial to the young attacker, whereas Tottenham were prepared to get the deal done now.

It will be interesting to see if Wilson can establish himself as a first-team player for Tottenham in the near future. They have done well to groom young players in the past, and they could play a key role in his development.
