Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap during the summer transfer window, and they recently sent scouts to watch the player in action.
The player was in action against Wolves at the weekend, and Tottenham scouts were in attendance. As per TBR Football, Liverpool were scouting the player as well, and it will be interesting to see which of the two clubs come forward with an official offer to sign him.
The player has been linked with Chelsea as well, but Tottenham are confident of getting the deal done.
Delap has 12 goals in the Premier League this season, and he could prove to be an excellent long-term acquisition for both clubs. There is no doubt that he is good enough to play in the Premier League regularly, and he will want to stay in the top flight, even if Ipswich are relegated in the summer.
Tottenham need another striker who can compete with Dominic Solanke for the starting spot and provide more depth to the side. The 22-year-old seems like the ideal fit.
The opportunity to join Tottenham will be quite exciting for him, and it would be a major step up in his career. He would get to compete for trophies in the coming seasons and play in Europe as well.

The 22-year-old is young enough to improve further, and he could develop into a player for Tottenham. Delap will want to establish himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League, and Spurs could certainly do with a talented and hungry young player like him. He has been labelled as a “monster” of a player in the past.
It will be interesting to see if they can beat Liverpool to his signature. They need to bring in an alternative to Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota in the summer. Both players have been underwhelming this season, and Delap would be a quality addition to their attacking unit.
Both clubs have the financial muscle to get the deal done, and it remains to be seen where the player ends up.
