Tottenham Hotspur scouts will be in attendance when Club Brugge take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
While it has been a poor start to the new season for Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou will be busy plotting a way to bounce back, scouts of the North London club are working hard to identify potential targets who can bolster their squad further.
According to a report from Het Nieuwsblad, scouts from Spurs will be keeping a close eye on the Champions League fixture between Club Brugge vs Borussia Dortmund. They will be accompanied by representatives from rival clubs Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Manchester City who will be watching the game for different reasons.
While the report doesn’t make it clear why Tottenham scouts will be in the stands to watch this match on Wednesday night, they could have their eyes on multiple targets. The North London club were interested in signing Yan Couto before he ended up joining Borussia Dortmund and maybe they are still keeping an eye on the former Girona star as they explore an opportunity to sign him in the long run.
Spurs have also been linked with Club Brugge’s Andreas Skov Olsen. While those reports have taken a back seat of late, they could once again revive their interest in the 24-year-old winger based on his performances in the 2024/25 season.
Tottenham made significant investments in the summer but they haven’t been able to get the desired results. If things don’t improve they will surely go hard in the winter to further strengthen their squad. While Couto and Olsen have been linked with Spurs, Postecoglou’s team might also have their eyes on a few other stars who will be on display in this fixture on Wednesday.
