Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Borussia Dortmund attacker Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the finest young attacking talents in European football right now and he is a key player for the German club. He has seven goal contributions in 10 appearances this season and his performances have attracted the attention of Tottenham, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
According to BILD, Tottenham scouts are now watching the player ‘regularly’, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him in the coming months. Bynoe-Gittens has a market value of €35 million right now, but Dortmund have set an asking price of €100 million.
It will be interesting to see if any club is willing to pay that kind of money for him. There is no doubt that he is a world-class talent with a bright future, but he has done nothing to justify that price tag.
Tottenham will be hoping to sign him for a more reasonable price. The player has been linked with Arsenal as well.
Liverpool and Chelsea keen on Jamie Bynoe-Gittens
Meanwhile, Liverpool are looking at him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian will be a free agent in the summer of 2025. It will be interesting to see if they are ready to pay over the odds to sign the 20-year-old.
Similarly, Chelsea could use an upgrade on players like Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke. However, they will have to strengthen the other areas of their squad as well and splashing €100 million on the Dortmund prodigy might not be a sensible move.
Even though he is an elite talent, it is highly unlikely that any club will agree to pay €100 million for Bynoe-Gittens. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few months. Dortmund will have to be more realistic with their valuation of the player for any move to materialise.
