Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly scouting Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of a summer move.
According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham have been scouting the 24-year-old regularly and Tottenham feel that he is good enough to play for a Champions League-level club.
Nottingham Forest could be forced to sell players in the summer in order to comply with the FFP regulations.
Gibbs-White has proven himself to be a reliable performer in the Premier League and he could improve Tottenham going forward.
The midfielder is versatile enough to operate as the central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. He has nine goals and 13 assists to his name in 71 appearances since joining Nottingham Forest in 2022.
Tottenham are lacking in depth when it comes to the attacking midfield department and they have been overly reliant on James Maddison. They need more depth in that position and Gibbs-White could prove to be a solid, long-term acquisition. Apart from his technical ability, his versatility will be an added bonus for the North London club.
The midfielder is likely to be tempted to join the club like Tottenham and it remains to be seen whether the clubs can agree on a fee. Nottingham Forest paid £42.5 million for the midfielder and they are likely to demand a premium.
Tottenham have other priorities in the summer market as well and it will be interesting to see if they are ready to pay a substantial amount of money for the midfielder.
