Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the Brazilian defender Vanderson ahead of a potential move.

They sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old Monaco defender in action over the weekend, as per TBR Football. It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him in the coming months. They could use more depth in the defensive unit, and the Brazilian would be the ideal acquisition.

Spurs could use Vanderson

He will add defensive, cover and help the team going forward as well. Tottenham currently have Pedro Porro as the only reliable right back at their disposal. Signing the Brazilian would be ideal for them. He could compete with the Spanish international for the starting spot. The competition for places will help both players improve.

The opportunity to move to England will be quite tempting for the Brazilian. He has been linked with the move to the Premier League in the past, but a transfer has not gone through yet. Tottenham need to improve their squad if they want to win major trophies, and adding more quality and depth to the side would be a wise decision.

Vanderson would be a handy option

Vanderson is capable of operating as a right back as well as a wing back. He could contribute at both ends of the pitch. The player is at the peak of his career, and he could make an instant impact in the Premier League. He has the physicality and technical attributes to adapt to English football.

Tottenham have an exciting project, and the defender is likely to be attracted to the idea of joining them. They have an exciting team, and they have recently won the UEFA Europa League. They have brought in a quality manager like Thomas Frank, and the Brazilian will certainly fancy his chances of winning trophies with them.
