Tottenham willing to cash in on player with seven goals and three assists this season

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to part ways with homegrown striker Troy Parrott at the end of the season.

While the North London club are gearing up for a busy summer of incomings, they are also looking to offload players who are no longer in their plans and can help raise funds. Troy Parrott who has been impressive while on loan at Dutch side Excelsior is one of the players they will look to offload in the upcoming window as per a report by Football Insider.

Parrott made his first team debut for Spurs back in 2019 but he never really got an extended run in the team. He has often been subject to loan moves elsewhere. While he was officially promoted to the first team ahead of the ongoing season, Spurs eventually ended up sending him out on loan to Excelsior.

He did struggle to get going in the initial months but the 22-year-old soon picked up the pace and became the Dutch club’s first-choice striker. In his 21 league appearances, he found the back of the net on seven occasions and bagged another three assists before picking up a hamstring injury in March.

Parrott will return to his parent club in the summer, but he is not a part of their plans going ahead. They are looking to sign a world-class forward and are ready to sanction the departure of the 22-year-old if they receive an appropriate offer.

With his contract running out in 2025, the upcoming window is the ideal opportunity for Spurs to raise significant funds from his departure. As per the reports, clubs from Germany could knock on Tottenham’s door for Parrott’s signature.
