Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa at the end of the season.
According to a report from Tuttosport via SportWitness, the 26-year-old attacker is valued at €35 million and Spurs would have no problems paying the asking price for him.
They will face competition from Italian club Juventus, but the Italian giants are likely to struggle when it comes to competing with Tottenham financially.
Another report via SportWitness adds that Gudmundsson is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League and he dreams of completing the move this summer. The development will certainly come as a major boost for Tottenham, and they will be reasonably confident of getting the deal done.
The 26 year-old has 15 goals and four assists in all competitions and he could lead the line for Tottenham next season. The North London outfit need to bring in a reliable striker and the Icelandic international certainly fits the profile. He has proven his quality in the Italian league and he is certainly good enough enough for the Premier League as well.
Gudmundsson will look to make his mark at Tottenham
The striker is at the peak of his powers right now and he will look to hit the ground running in English football and prove himself against the best defenders in the world.
Tottenham will need to bring in a reliable centre forward if they want to win major trophies next season. The likes of Son Heung-min and Richarlison have done reasonably well, but they are not reliable finishers and Tottenham need a quality number nine.
Moving to the Premier League will be an exciting opportunity for the Icelandic attacker, and he will feel that he is ready to make the step up to a big club at the stage of his career. It remains to be seen whether the Tottenham are prepared to shell out the asking price in the coming weeks.
