Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Villarreal striker Georges Mikautadze.

They have long admired the 25-year-old attacker, and they have tried to sign him in the past. It will be interesting to see if they can succeed this time around. According to reports from Spain, the player could be on the move this summer, and Tottenham would be prepared to offer €60 million in order to get the deal done.

Georges Mikautadze is in fine form

The striker has 17 goal contributions in all competitions, and he could prove to be the ideal partner for Dominic Solanke. Tottenham need more depth in the attacking unit, and the Georgian International would be a superb option for them. He will add creativity and goals to the team. The opportunity to play in the Premier League will be exciting for the player as well.

Selling him for €60 million could be quite tempting for the Spanish club. They paid half of that to secure his signature, and they will find it difficult to turn down a profitable sale.

Can Spurs sign Mikautadze?

It remains to be seen whether Spurs follow up on their interest with an official proposal at the end of the season. They need to improve the attacking unit if they are serious about fighting for trophies next season. This has been a disappointing campaign for them, and they are fighting for survival in the top flight. It is fair to assume that they will secure safety eventually. They are too good to go down.

Mikautadze is at the peak of his career, and this is the right time for him to take on a new challenge. Regular football in the Premier League could help him improve further and fulfil his potential.
