‘My message is…’: Tottenham player with just two starts told what he must do to convince Ange

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur signed Radu Dragusin from Genoa during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old defender would have expected to play regularly for the north London club, but things have not gone according to plan for him. He has started just two games in all competitions for the Premier League side.

Naturally, there have been speculation surrounding his future at the club and former Romanian international Dorin Goian has now urged Dragusin to remain patient and keep working hard to convince the Tottenham manager to give him more opportunities.

Goian believes that it is natural to get limited opportunities at a big club like Tottenham and the 22-year-old defender needs to keep his head down and work hard. He has urged the former Genoa star to not lose his temper and hope.

“My message is do not lose confidence and train really well. He must show the coach that he is valuable, and every time he enters the field, a half, a match or a few minutes, to play as well as possible,” said Goian to Romanian publication Sport.

“I am sure he will have many chances to play. It is important not to lose his temper and confidence!”

“That’s how it is with the big teams, the competition is very high. It is important that he trains very well every day, and when he comes in to show that he is valuable.”

There is no doubt that he has the quality and the attributes to succeed in England. It remains to be seen whether he can continue to impress in training and force the manager to consider his selection.

The Romanian defender is still only 22 and he will have plenty of opportunities to get his career back on track. He will need to concentrate on impressing the manager in training and adapting to English football for now.
