Tottenham pushing hard to bring £25m ace to North London next season

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked to the move for the Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott.

The 19-year-old is turning heads with his performances for the Championship outfit and four other Premier League clubs are keen on him.

A report from Football Insider claims that clubs like Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are all in the race to sign the 19-year-old at the end of the season.

Scott can play as a central midfielder as well as the number ten and his versatility will be an added bonus for Tottenham if they managed to secure his services.

Antonio Conte needs to add a player who can add creativity from the central areas and Tottenham were linked with the likes of Nicolo Zaniolo in recent months.

The 19-year-old Championship midfielder has the potential to develop into a top-quality player and Conte could help him improve further and fulfil his potential.

The report adds that Tottenham are now pushing hard to bring the midfielder to north London and they will have to pay a price of around £25 million.

A club with Tottenham’s resources should be able to pay that kind of money for the player and Scott could prove to be a bargain in the long run if he manages to fulfil his potential at Spurs.

A move to the Premier League would be a major step up in the young midfielder’s career and playing alongside better players at a higher level will only accelerate his development.
