Borussia Dortmund attacker Jamie Gittens has been linked with a move away from the German club at the end of the season, and multiple Premier League clubs are keen on securing his signature.

A report from Chelsea News claims that the Blues are very keen on securing his signature, and the player could be available for a fee of around €60-70 million. However, they are not the only Premier League club keen on the player, and they will face competition from Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham.

Furthermore, the report claims that Chelsea are prepared to double the player’s wages in order to bring him to the club. Chelsea are prepared to offer him a long-term deal until 2030.

Tottenham have been planning to sign the player since last year, and it will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.

They need more quality and depth in the wide areas, and the English winger could prove to be the ideal acquisition. He will add goals and creativity to the side. His ability to take on defenders and beat them in one-versus-one situations will add unpredictability to the Tottenham attack as well. He has 12 goals and five assists this season.

Timo Werner will leave the club upon the expiry of his loan deal, and Richarlison has been linked with a potential exit as well. Gittens could be a quality long-term investment for Tottenham if they can get the deal done.

However, the asking price is quite steep, and Tottenham need to improve multiple areas of their squad. It remains to be seen whether they are priced out of a move for the talented youngster.

Although he is only 20 years old, the Englishman is considered one of the most promising wingers in European football, and he has dazzled with his performance and potential. Even if he costs a premium this summer, he could justify the investment in the long run.
