Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes.
According to a report from from Dani Serrano, the Premier League side have put an offer of around €100 million on the table for the 22-year-old Brazilian and it remains to be seen whether Florentino Perez is prepared to sanction his departure.
Apparently, the Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is ‘obsessed’ with the idea of signing the Real Madrid attacker.
Tottenham have recently sanctioned the departure of Harry Kane and they are yet to bring in a quality replacement. Rodrygo is rated highly around Europe and he has a bright future ahead of him. He has the attributes to develop into a top-class attacker and he could prove to be a solid, long-term investment for Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid sanctioned the departure of Karim Benzema earlier this summer and it would be quite surprising if they decided to weaken the squad further.
Rodrygo is well-settled at the Spanish club and he could be a key player for them in the coming seasons. Letting him leave the club could prove to be a mistake from Los Blancos.
Although the €100 million offer seems tempting, Real Madrid are not in need of money right now and they could look to hold on to their prized asset.
The report adds that the transfer is like an ‘impossible mission’ for Tottenham and it will be interesting to see if they can convince the Spanish club before the summer transfer window closes.
