Tottenham preparing for summer departure, 26-goal ace ‘is an option’ to replace star

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for the eventual departure of Harry Kane.

The 29-year-old England international is in the final year of his contract and he has been linked with a move away from the club.

Bayern Munich are hoping to sign the England international this summer and Tottenham are exploring potential alternatives.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, the Canadian international striker Jonathan David ‘is an option’ for the Premier League club.

The striker has a contract with little until the summer of 2025 and he has been in spectacular form for them this past season.

The 23-year-old striker scored 26 goals across all competitions last season and he could prove to be a fantastic, long-term addition for Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Galetti adds that the Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic ‘remains in the list’ for Tottenham, but the player is closer to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Serbian international has already agreed personal terms with the French club and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can swoop in and secure his services.

The 23-year-old Serbian international scored 14 goals across all competitions last season and he could prove to be a quality, long-term addition as well.

It remains to be seen who Tottenham end up signing eventually.

Kane is one of the best strikers of his generation and replacing him properly should be a top priority for the North London club.

Ideally, they will want to hold on to the 29-year-old for as long as possible but they are powerless to stop him from leaving because of his contract situation. Spurs will not want to lose the player on a free transfer next year and they are under pressure to cash in on him this summer.
