Tottenham player labelled as ‘worst signing ever’ after Man UTD game

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Manchester United, earning themselves an important point to keep the hope of finishing in the top 4 alive.

Jadon Sancho gave Tottenham a lead inside 10 minutes of the game and Marcus Rashford extended that lead just before half time.

The second half saw a different Tottenham who came out guns blazing. 10 minutes into the second half, Pedro Porro reduced the deficit for Tottenham with a stunner from the edge of the box.

And in the 79th minute, Heung-min Son made it 2-2 from a brilliant assist from Harry Kane.

Despite the impressive second half, a few Tottenham players have come under fire for their performances.

One was Eric Dier who was slammed for his role in the second Manchester United goal. His poor defending saw him allow Rashford the space and time to score after easing past him.

And Ivan Perisic was also criticised by some fans online for his role in Rashford’s goal as well.

Spurs fans ripped into Ivan on social media with one fan branding him the ‘worse signing ever’.

The goal came immediately after the Croatian was denied by De Gea at the other end of the pitch.

And as the ball came back towards him he chose the keep the ball in player instead of letting it go for a corner, which proved to be a costly, with United breaking and Rashford scoring.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Perisic might be the worst free signing in the history of football, he’s woeful”
