Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Archie Gray has been linked with the move away from the club when the transfer window reopens in January.

There have been rumours that clubs could look to sign the 18-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season. He has struggled for regular game time since joining the North London club. Although he has had opportunities in the cup competitions, he is not a regular starter in the Premier League.

According to Give Me Sport, the midfielder is not keen on leaving Tottenham on loan in January and he wants to stay and fight for his place.

The report states that Gray is adamant and wants to prove himself to Ange Postecoglou. Tottenham are now heading into the January transfer window with the knowledge that the player will not move, even if there are opportunities to secure a loan exit.

The development will certainly come as a blow for clubs hoping to sign him. The 18-year-old could have been a useful acquisition for most clubs. He is capable of slotting into the role of a central midfielder as well as a full-back. His versatility could have been a bonus.

It will be interesting to see if Gray can convince Tottenham to give him more opportunities in the Premier League during the second half of the season. Undoubtedly, he is a promising young talent with a bright future. Regular game time will help him develop further, and it could accelerate his development as well.

Spurs paid around £30 million for him, and they will hope that he can establish himself as a key player for the club in the coming seasons. They must focus on his development and give him the best possible chance of fulfilling his potential.
