Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez.
According to Jovenes Futbolistas MX, Tottenham are looking to formalise their interest in signing the 22-year-old striker in the coming weeks.
They are looking at the Mexican as a potential replacement for Harry Kane who has been linked with a move away from the club. Bayern Munich are keen on signing the England international this summer.
The report claims that Tottenham ‘plans to offer €40 million’ for the Feyenoord good striker but the Dutch outfit value him at €50 million. The Premier League side have ‘already met’ with the agents of the player a few weeks ago.
Gimenez has been in outstanding form this past season, scoring 28 goals across all competitions for the Dutch outfit. He helped them win the league title as well and it is no surprise that the top clubs are keeping tabs on him.
Tottenham will have to replace Harry Kane’s goalscoring output if he leaves the club and Gimenez would be a quality long-term addition.
