Tottenham planning to make first offer for midfielder with 12 goals and 17 assists this season

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham have been tracking potential signings in preparation for the upcoming transfer window.

They have been linked with a number of players so far, one of them being Fenerbahce star Sebastian Szymanski.

Turkish outlet Aksam recently reported that the Polish international has caught the attention of the North London outfit.

Another news outlet, Fanatik, has now corroborated their information, asserting Tottenham’s keen interest in Szymanski. As per the report, Spurs have been monitoring him from his time at Feyenoord and have been convinced to bring him to North London.

The 24-year-old has been in impressive form in the ongoing campaign, reaching double figures for both goals and assists.

The attacking midfielder has scored 12 goals and provided 17 assists in his 49 appearances so far.

With Szymanski’s current market value of €20 million, the report claims that Spurs are planning to make the ‘first offer’ close to that amount. However, the offer is likely to be rejected with Fenerbahce demanding €25 million for their star player.

Spurs view the former Legia Warsaw player as a potential replacement for Giovani Lo Celso, who is rumoured to be heading towards an exit from North London.
