Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
According to a report from the Spanish publication AS, the La Masia graduate is open to leaving the Spanish club this summer after struggling to hold down a regular starting spot.
Apparently, the player’s entourage are already considering several offers for the player and Tottenham are currently on ‘red alert’ as per Daily Mail.
The north London outfit have been linked with Fati in recent months and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for them.
The 20-year-old was regarded as a world-class talent and the long-term successor to Lionel Messi a few seasons ago. However, serious injuries have derailed his progress and he will look to get his career back on track with regular football.
A move to Tottenham could give him the platform he needs right now.
The Spaniard is capable of playing anywhere across the front three and he will add goals and creativity to the Tottenham attack.
Spurs will need to bring in a quality long-term replacement for Harry Kane and Fati could be a superb investment.
It remains to be seen whether Barcelona are prepared to sell him for a reasonable price this summer. The Spanish outfit are going through financial problems and a lucrative offer could certainly tempt them.
The fact that he is not a key starter for them will only serve as an encouragement to his suitors.
Journalist Adrian Sanchez has now revealed on YouTube that the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham have made contact with the player’s agent Jorge Mendes regarding a summer transfer.
It will be interesting to see if they follow that up with a concrete proposal to sign the Spaniard in the remaining days of the window.
