Tottenham officials watched 28-year-old World Cup finalist in action yesterday

By Saikat -

French international midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been linked with a move away from Juventus at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old will be a free agent in the summer and he has not agreed to sign an extension with the Italian club yet.

The player has been linked with a move to the Premier League and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on him.

A report from 90 min claims that Tottenham officials were in attendance when Juventus were in action in the Europa League this Thursday. Apparently, the Spurs officials were monitoring players like Marcus Edwards and Adrien Rabiot closely.

Tottenham need to add more quality in the middle of the park and Rabiot would be a superb acquisition.

The 28-year-old is at the peak of his powers and he could make an immediate impact at the Premier League club next season.

Tottenham need to bring in a technically gifted central midfielder who will add creativity and defensive cover to the side. Rabiot has the technical and physical attributes to succeed in English football and he could prove to be quite a coup on a free transfer.

The player is likely to be on the radar of other Premier League clubs as well and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can convince the World Cup finalist to join them.

Rabiot has been a key player for club and country this season. He helped France reach the finals of the World Cup back in December.

He has proven his quality in the Italian league and the opportunity to showcase his qualities in England could be an attractive option for him. It remains to be seen where the 28-year-old ends up. Signing a player of his quality on a free transfer could prove to be a bargain.
