Tottenham now have added incentive to sign £30m ace in the summer

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly hoping to bring Kyle Walker-Peters back to the club at the end of the season.

Recently Graeme Bailey revealed to The Spurs News that the 26-year-old versatile full-back is on their radar and Tottenham could look to bring him back to the club. They have a buyback clause inserted into his contract, and they could sign the player for £30 million at the end of the season.

Now a report from Football London claims that Tottenham need to register four club-trained players in the 25-man List A squad as per UEFA rules. However, Oliver Skipp, Brandon Austin and Alfie Whiteman are the only options at their disposal right now. Therefore, they need to bring in another club-trained player and Walker-Peters certainly fits the profile.

The 26-year-old defender is currently playing for Southampton and the opportunity to return to the top flight will be an exciting one for him. A return to his boyhood club will be an added incentive for the player.

It remains to be seen whether the Tottenham are prepared to pay £30 million for him at the end of the season. The North London outfit already have players like Emerson Royal and Pedro Porro at their disposal. Signing another right-back without selling someone would be quite surprising, especially when they have other priorities as well.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few months.
