Tottenham have been linked with a move for the Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
The 26-year-old is reportedly a target for Inter Milan as well, but the Italian giants are yet to make their move and it seems that Spurs have now stolen a march on them.
According to journalist Michele Criscitiello, Tottenham are now negotiating the transfer with Empoli and it will be interesting to see if the two clubs can come to an agreement soon.
He said on SportItalia: “Inter will probably sell Onana: we are talking about important figures with Chelsea. The Nerazzurri had Vicario in their grip, but now they are wasting time and as a result the goalkeeper has fallen heavily in these hours, with important money, at Corsi’s house from Tottenham. Empoli are negotiating with the English, I don’t know the figures”.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano claims that the transfer could be worth around €20 million.

Tottenham need to sign a quality goalkeeper in the summer and Vicario would be a superb acquisition.
The 26-year-old Italian goalkeeper has proven his quality in the Serie A with Empoli and he has the ability to succeed at a top club like Spurs.
Empoli finished 14th in the league table this past season and Vicario will be hoping to play for a bigger club that can compete for trophies in the coming season. Tottenham certainly have a quality squad at their disposal.
Despite an underwhelming campaign this past season, they have all the tools to succeed at the highest level.
They have appointed a quality manager in the Ange Postecoglou, and there is no reason why they cannot challenge for a top four finish next year and compete for cups.
Vicario could be a key player for them next season. The 26-year-old would undoubtedly be an upgrade on Hugo Lloris, who has been quite underwhelming this past season.
The 36-year-old Frenchman will have to be replaced in the summer and Italian seems like a quality option.
