Tottenham Hotspur are open to signing Mathys Tel permanently at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old joined Tottenham on loan in January, and he has had a mixed spell at the London club so far. However, it seems that they are impressed with his potential, and they are ready to make a move for him in the summer. Tottenham have an option to sign him permanently for a fee of around €50–55 million, but they are unwilling to pay that kind of money for the French man.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham want to renegotiate a fee with Bayern Munich, and it will be interesting to see if they can succeed. The German outfit are prepared to get rid of the player in the summer, and they are ‘pushing for a sale’. It is fair to assume that they could lower their valuation of the player in order to get rid of him permanently.
The 19-year-old is a prodigious young talent with a bright future, and he could develop into a key player for Tottenham with coaching and experience. If they can sign him for a reasonable price in the summer, the deal could look like a bargain in the long-term.
Mathys Tel needs to sort out his future

Tel needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and returning to the German club will not be ideal for him. He will want to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football once again.
Tottenham need more quality in the attacking unit, and the 19-year-old is likely to get ample opportunities with them. Staying at the North London club beyond this season would be ideal for all parties.
It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. The player is reportedly on the radar of London rivals Chelsea as well.
