Tottenham move ruled out for 47-yr-old manager who won’t work with Daniel Levy

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of managers since the departure of Antonio Conte.

The north London club are looking to bring in a long-term replacement for the Italian manager and they have put Cristian Stellini in charge of the first team on an interim basis until the end of the campaign.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for the former Chelsea manager Graham Potter but a report from Football Insider claims that the 47-year-old will not join Tottenham anytime soon.

Apparently, Tottenham tried to sign Potter during his time at Brighton back in 2021 as well. The former Seagulls manager rejected the approach from Tottenham because it does not want to work with the club chairman Daniel Levy.

Levy has been heavily criticised by Tottenham fans in recent seasons because of his lack of ambition in the transfer market.

With players like Harry Kane linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season, the Tottenham chairman must demonstrate the club’s ambition and bring in a top-class manager. Key players could look to move on if they feel that they will not be able to challenge for major trophies at the club.

Potter had a difficult time at Stamford Bridge before he was sacked and he would be an uninspiring addition.

Tottenham have been linked with managers like Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann. It will be interesting to see who they end up appointing eventually.
