Tottenham Hotspur could look to make their move for the Genoa defender Radu Dragusin soon.
The 21-year-old central defender has been linked with a move to the north London club during the January transfer window.
It is no secret that Tottenham need to bring in defensive reinforcement and they have identified the Romanian as a target.
Dragusin has impressed with his performances in the Italian league and he could be a long-term prospect for Tottenham. A report from Calciomercato claims that other clubs are also keen on the talented young defender but Spurs are ‘most serious’ about signing him.
In addition to that, the report claims that contacts can be expected ‘in the next few hours’.
Dragusin is valued at €30 million and Tottenham certainly have the means to pay up. He could prove to be a long-term asset for the Londoners. If he manages to adapt to the Premier League quickly, Dragusin would be a bargain at that price.
Key defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are injured right now and Spurs are in desperate need of central defenders. Dragusin will be expected to hit the ground running if he joins the club.
There is no doubt that he is a prodigious talent with the ability to succeed in English football. Ange Postecoglou could groom him into a top-class defender.
Dragusin will look to prove his worth at the highest level and establish himself as a key player for Spurs if the transfer goes through.
