Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly has been linked with a move away from the club and the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are keen on him.
A report from Football Insider claims that Tottenham are monitoring his situation and they are plotting a summer move for the player. The 25-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and he will be able to move on as a free agent. Signing a player of his quality and experience for free would represent a major coup for the North London club.
Spurs need to bring in another central defender to complete their defensive unit and Kelly would be a superb addition. The 25-year-old is versatile enough to operate as a central defender as well as a left-back. He could prove to be a useful option for Ange Postecoglou during rotation and injuries.
Meanwhile, Spurs will face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool. The Reds need to add more depth to the defensive unit as well. Joel Matip is set to leave the club at the end of the season and they will need to replace him adequately. Signing a versatile defender like Kelly would be a wise decision.
Bournemouth are hoping to hold onto him beyond the season and they have offered him a new deal. However, the 25-year-old has already rejected multiple approaches from the club. The central defender is expected to make a concrete decision regarding his future soon.
