Tottenham Hotspur have linked with a move for the Genoa winger Albert Gudmundsson.
The 26-year-old winger has been in impressive form this season, scoring 11 goals across competitions and he could prove to be a superb acquisition for the North London club in the attack. According to a report from NapoliCalcio24, Tottenham have been following the 26-year-old winger for a while and he could cost around €35 million at the end of the season.
In addition to that, the report claims that Tottenham have a direct connection with the player’s agents and that could facilitate a move in the summer. The agents working with Gudmundsson represent the likes of Guglielmo Vicario and Radu Dragusin as well.
Tottenham recently signed Dragusin from Genoa and it is fair to assume that they will have an amicable relationship with the Italian club. It will be interesting to see if the two parties can come to an agreement soon.
The €35 million asking price seems reasonable for a player of his quality and the 26-year-old certainly has the physicality and technical attributes to succeed in the Premier League.
Tottenham need more quality and depth in the wide areas and the 26-year-old will add pace, flair and goals to the side. The opportunity to compete in the Premier League will be an exciting one for the player and he will look to prove himself at the highest level.
The report further states that Juventus, Napoli, Roma and Lazio are all keeping tabs on the window and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can beat the competition and secure his services.
