Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence is currently on loan at Italian club Genoa until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old defender has done reasonably well for the Italian outfit, and there have been rumours linking him with a permanent move to Italy.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the two clubs have already planned a meeting at the end of the season to discuss the future of the talented young full-back. The report states that Tottenham could discuss a potential move for Albert Gudmundsson during the meeting as well.
The Icelandic attacker has been in impressive form, scoring 15 goals in all competitions. It is no secret that Tottenham need to bring in a quality attacker and the 26-year-old could prove to be a useful acquisition.
Tottenham need a reliable goalscorer who can lead the line for them and Gudmundsson will certainly be tempted to join a big club like Spurs if the opportunity presents itself. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can work out a deal that benefits them both.
Spence does not have a future at Tottenham and he needs to move on in order to play regularly. A permanent move to Genoa could be ideal for him at the stage of his career. He needs to focus on his development and play regularly so that he can improve and achieve his true potential. If he manages to succeed in the coming seasons, he might get plenty of opportunities to join a big club in the near future.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are fighting for Champions League qualification and they need better players at their disposal if they want to do well in the Champions League next season. Gudmundsson could prove to be a superb option for them in the attack and he will help share the goalscoring burden with Son Heung-min and Richarlison.
