Tottenham to compete with Man City, Man United and Chelsea for £52m-rated playmaker

By Saikat -

RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo has been linked with a move to the Premier League at the end of the season and clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are keen on him.

A report from the German publication BILD claims that the midfielder has a £52 million release clause in his contract and Manchester City are currently leading the chase for him. However, it will not be easy for them to sign the Spanish international and they will face competition from clubs like Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea.

The report claims that Tottenham have their eye on the midfielder and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with an official proposal to sign the player.

Olmo can operate as a winger as well as the number ten. He will add flair, goals and creativity in the final third.

Tottenham need more depth in their squad in order to do well across multiple competitions. They are pushing for Champions League qualification and they will need a top quality squad next season.

Olmo should prove to be a superb addition. However, his asking price could complicate matters. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to shell out £52 million for the midfielder. They have other priorities as well. They need to sign a quality goalscorer and another central defender during the summer transfer window.

Dani Olmo would improve all four clubs

The 25-year-old midfielder is at the peak of his powers and he will look to make an immediate impact in the Premier League. He could improve all four clubs.

Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move away from Manchester City and Olmo could be his replacement at the Premier League club. At Manchester United, he could replace Christian Eriksen if the Denmark international is moved on. Meanwhile, Chelsea need more creativity and cutting edge in the final third, and Olmo would help them improve going forward.
