Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an enquiry for the Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
According to TBR Football, they could face competition from Chelsea for the Argentina winger. The 20-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this month and it would take a fee of around £70 million to get the deal done.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham follow up on their interest with an offer to sign the South American. Garnacho has proven himself to be a reliable performer in the Premier League and the 20-year-old has eight goals and six assists in all competitions this season.
He could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham and Chelsea. The North London club need more quality in the flanks and the South American will add goals and unpredictability to the side. He is only 20 and he will improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a world-class performer with the right guidance.
Even though the asking price seems quite steep right now, the player has the quality to justify the investment in the long run.

Similarly, Chelsea need attacking depth as well. Mykhailo Mudryk has been quite underwhelming since his arrival and he could face a ban for doping. Chelsea need more depth in the wide areas and the Manchester United winger could prove to be a solid long-term acquisition. The 20-year-old might need some convincing to join the London clubs and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops. He has been linked with away from England recently with clubs like Napoli keen on him.
It remains to be seen where he ends up eventually. Garnacho is a prodigious talent with a bright future, and whoever ends up signing him will have a future star on their hands.
