Tottenham ‘lurking’ in the background as €37m move hits a snag, they ‘really want’ star

By Saikat -

Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa has been linked with a move away from the Belgian club this month.

The 18-year-old winger was initially linked with a move to Tottenham but the north London outfit failed to secure an agreement for him.

Premier League rivals Brentford then went on to agree a €37 million deal with the Belgian club but the transfer has now been delayed.

The Premier League club discovered a cartilage issue in the winger’s right knee during the medical examination and they have decided to stall the move for now.

A report from HLN claims that Tottenham are ‘lurking’ in the background and they have not given up on the Norwegian winger.

Nusa is a prodigious young talent with a bright future ahead of him and he could prove to be a quality long term acquisition for most clubs. If the cartilage issue is not serious, Tottenham would do well to secure his services.

Meanwhile a report from Nieuwsblad claims that Tottenham ‘really want’ to sign the player and they will be keeping tabs on his situation.

The north London club will hope that a move does not materialise this month.

Spurs could use more quality and depth in the attack and they might look to make a move for the Norwegian winger at the end of the season if he does not end up joining Brentford this month.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops with regards to the move to Brentford this month.
