Tottenham looking to raid PL rivals for £55 million ace

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella this summer.

According to a report from Football Transfers, Tottenham are following the 24-year-old closely as they could look to make a move for him this summer.

The defender joined Chelsea for a fee of around £55 million last summer and he failed to hit the ground running.

The former Brighton defender had a disappointing campaign at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea were reportedly looking to cash in on him. Kurla was a key player for Brighton during his time at the club, and he could prove to be a useful acquisition.

It is no secret that Tottenham need to sign a quality left-back this summer, especially with Ivan Perisic expected to leave the club.

The Croatian winger was used as a wingback last season and Tottenham have Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon as their other options.

Both players were quite underwhelming and Tottenham should look to sign a quality left-back.

Although Cucurella had a disappointing season with Chelsea, he has the quality to improve Tottenham.

Spurs conceded 63 goals in the league last season and they will be hoping to bounce back strongly and get back into the Champions League. They need to improve their defensive options in order to do well next season.

Signing the Chelsea defender could prove to be a quality acquisition, especially for the right price.

Chelsea are unlikely to be able to sell the Spanish defender for a premium and it remains to be seen whether he’s available for a knockdown price.
