Tottenham-linked attacker ‘determined’ to leave Barcelona this summer

Dani Rodríguez wants to leave Barcelona amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur are on the lookout for opportunities to further bolster their attack. They have had an impressive first season under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou and are now planning to help him take the next step.

Spurs want to reinforce their attack and the idea is to bring in a young player who can help them in the long run. They have been linked with Spanish teenager Dani Rodriguez who is ‘determined’ to leave Barcelona in the upcoming summer transfer window as per a report by Mundo Deportivo.

Rodriguez joined the famous Barcelona youth academy ‘La Masia’ in the summer of 2020. While he has gone up the ranks over the years and is currently a part of their reserve team, the 18-year-old is not keen on continuing at the Spanish club.

Despite having trained with the first team on multiple occasions, Rodriguez feels he might not get his big break at Barcelona. As a result, he wants to leave the club at the end of the season when his contract runs out.

While the Catalan giants do have the option to extend his stay by another two years, they would like to reach a friendly agreement with the player. But, Rodriguez seems ready to leave with multiple clubs keen on his signatures.

Tottenham have been linked with Dani Rodriguez

According to a recent report from Sport, the North London club are looking to convince him to join them in the summer. They have an interesting project at hand and the financial power to lure him to England.

With clubs like Tottenham hoping to sign him, Barcelona fear that the 18-year-old could be on his way out in the summer.
