Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush at the end of the season.
The Bundesliga striker has been in impressive form this season scoring 16 goals across all competitions and he has six assists along the way as well. According to a report from SportBILD via SportWitness, Frankfurt could demand a premium for him this summer and Tottenham might have to pay a fee of around €50 million.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay that kind of money for the Egyptian striker. Marmoush has established himself as a reliable performer in the Bundesliga and he has the quality to succeed in English football as well.
Tottenham are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements and they need a reliable centre forward who can lead the line for them and school goals consistently. Although Son Heung-min and Richarlison have done a decent job this season, they have missed the clinical presence of Harry Kane upfront. Marmoush could fill that void at Tottenham next season.
However, the asking price might come across as steep and it will be interesting to see whether the German club are willing to be more reasonable with their demands. Tottenham will have strength in the other areas of their squad as well, and they might not be able to pay €50 million for a striker.
The North London club missed out on Champions League qualification this season and they will be desperate to bounce back strongly next year. They need to bring in quality players during the summer transfer window and it will be interesting to see if they decide to get rid of some of their fringe players in order to arrange funds for big money, signings.
